terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of shussh.io and the shussh SSH chat service (the "Service"), operated by shussh ("we", "us"). By connecting to ssh shussh.io or using the Service in any form, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. accounts

Accounts are created and managed from within the SSH session. Your SSH public key is your credential; you are responsible for keeping your private key secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

2. acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• violate any law or the rights of others;
• harass, threaten, dox, or target individuals or groups;
• distribute CSAM, incite violence, or promote self-harm;
• send spam, malware, or attempt to breach the Service or its users;
• interfere with, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service;
• resell or sublicense the Service without written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice, and may cooperate with law enforcement when legally required.

3. user content

You retain ownership of the messages and content you send through the Service. You grant us a limited license to transmit, store, and display that content solely to operate the Service. Private server contents are visible only to the participants of that server and to us as strictly necessary to operate the Service.

4. paid plans

Paid plans (including private server provisioning) are billed through Stripe. Prices, features, and billing cycles are shown at the point of purchase inside the SSH session. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.

5. cancellation & refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from inside the SSH session. Upon cancellation your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew.

Refunds: we offer a refund of the most recent charge if you request one within 7 days of that charge by emailing support@shussh.io. Outside of that window, all sales are final. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting support may result in account termination.

6. service availability

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may perform maintenance, upgrades, or take the Service offline without prior notice.

7. termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason we deem necessary to protect the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service at any time.

8. disclaimers & liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the Service and on this page. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
